Taghazout is a small former fishing village on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, a short drive north of Agadir, that has become the country’s best-known surf town. The surf

Taghazout is famous for its right-hand point breaks. Anchor Point is the headline wave — a long, world-class right that fires on the right swell — and there are gentler beach breaks nearby that suit beginners. The best surf season runs roughly autumn through spring, when North Atlantic swells reach the coast; summer is smaller and better for learning. Surf schools and board rentals are easy to find in the village.
