Buena Vista is a small statutory town in Chaffee County, Colorado, USA, located in the Upper Arkansas River Valley between Salida and Leadville, at an elevation of about 2,428 m (7,960 ft). The name comes from Spanish for “good view” and was chosen when the town was incorporated in 1879.
